Berlin Supplemental Taxes Due
The town has provided information for residents on paying supplemental motor vehicle and real estate taxes.

BERLIN, CT Real Estate (second installment) and Supplemental Motor Vehicle taxes are due January 1, 2019 and payable without interest by February 1, 2019. The mill rate is 32.50 for the 2017 Grand List.
Supplemental Motor Vehicle tax bills are for any vehicle that was registered after October 1, 2017. The supplemental motor vehicle tax bills can be viewed/ paid online as of Tuesday, December 11, 2018 and will be mailed on Monday, December 17, 2018.

If your Motor Vehicle bill says “BACK TAXES ALSO DUE”, please call our office before making or mailing a payment.
If you have an escrow account with your mortgage company for real estate taxes, they will pay the bill by the end of January 2019.

You have several options to pay your tax bills:
In person: We are located in Room 22 of Town Hall (240 Kensington Road). When paying in person, please have your check filled out with the correct amount due, and bring your bill with you. You can make one check out for all of your taxes. We will provide a receipt OR stamp. We only accept cash or check in the office.
Our office hours are:
Monday- Wednesday 8:30 am – 4:30 pm
Thursday 8:30 am- 7:00 pm
Friday 8:30 am – 1:00 pm
By mail: You can mail your tax bill to our lockbox. The mailing address is:

Online: You can pay online with a credit/ debit card or electronic check. For card payments, there is a 2.95% service charge, and for E-checks there’s a $0.95 flat fee.
