Berlin Obituary: Anthony Wassil, Jr., 59

Anthony J. Wassil Jr., 59, of Berlin passed away peacefully Friday, March 10th after a short illness.

Anthony was born in New Britain, the son of Anthony J. Wassil Sr. and Veronica (Kaplan) Wassil. He attended local schools and graduated from E. C. Goodwin Technical School in New Britain. He lived all of his life in New Britain and Berlin. He was a self-employed electrician, a member of Saint Joseph Church, New Britain and a member of the Animal Alliance Welfare League of New Britain.

Besides his parents Anthony and Veronica Wassil Sr. of Berlin, he leaves a daughter Rebecca Wassil of Berlin; two sisters Veronica Sullivan and her husband Daniel of Berlin, and Laurie Margentino of Berlin; many uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews and a longtime companion Marie Catalano of Middletown. He was predeceased by a brother in law Robert Margentino. He also leaves his dog Grayson.

Family and friends are asked to meet at Saint Joseph Church, 195 South Main St. New Britain, Friday morning March 17th at 11 AM to celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment in Maple Cemetery, Berlin will be private.
