Berlin Obituary: Dennis Blaszko, 42

Dennis W. Blaszko, 42, of West Hartford, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 12, 2016.

Born and raised in New Britain, he was the beloved son of Waclaw and Danuta (Pomorski) Blaszko of Kensington. Dennis graduated from Sacred Heart School, Berlin High School, and Lynn University in Boca Raton, FL. He was president of B & N Aerospace, Inc. of Newington, where his strengths lied in contract negotiations and exceptional communication skills. He loved spending time outdoors with his sons, and especially enjoyed camping and riding ATV's. He loved to cook and volunteered his time with his boys delivering food to the needy.

A devoted and loving father, he leaves his three sons, Trent Blaszko, Colin Blaszko, and Grant Blaszko. He also leaves his sister JoAnne Klinzmann and her husband Gary of Farmington, and their children, Julia, Andrew, Olivia, Emma and Lila; uncles, aunts and cousins in the United States and in Poland; many dear friends; and his favorite boxer, Kingston.

Dennis was bigger than life, with a remarkable sense of humor, always making others feel special. We will miss his keen wit and his spontaneous, big-hearted ways.

His funeral service will begin on Saturday, April 16, at 8:30 a.m. at the Burritt Hill Funeral Home, 332 Burritt St., New Britain, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, New Britain. He will be laid to rest in Sacred Heart Cemetery, New Britain. Relatives and friends are invited to call, Friday, April 15, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Burritt Hill.
