Elbridge Daigle, 82, passed away Thursday August 17, 2017 at home surrounded by his family, after a valiant battle with cancer.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Noella (Charette) Daigle, his sons: Steven Daigle and James Daigle, his daughters: Debra Mucci, Karen Daigle and Lisa Daigle as well as his seven brothers and sisters. He was predeceased by a son: Lester Daigle and four siblings. The man known as “Pepe” leaves behind grandchildren: Adam Daigle, Maria Soto, Sara Bliss, Crystal Pearcy-Blowers, Jennifer Barone, Eric Daigle, “Little” Noella Daigle, Renee Moitoza, Holly Whiting, Ariel Follansbee, Ryan Mucci and eleven great-grandchildren.
The son of Alfred and Estelle Daigle, he was born in Fort Kent, Maine, where he would marry his wife in 1953. He was a resident of New Britain, where he worked as a foreman for Caron, Inc. in Berlin for many years. An avid hunter who was not afraid to get up close with black bears, he was also a woodworker, a spring-make and a lover of country music - especially Hank Williams. He would root for the Red Sox and the Patriots (woe betide any Yankees or Giants fans in his household) from his favorite chair and wind down with afternoon soaps. He was a man of good humor and great family who will be missed by many.
