Berlin Obituary: Frank Cefaratti, 51

Condolences to his family and friends.

Frank Anthony Cefaratti, 51, of Berlin, formerly of Newington, passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 with his loving family at his side. He was the beloved husband of Sally (Robert) Cefaratti for 29 years.

Born on July 13, 1964, in New Britain, son of Adeline F. (Larco) Cefaratti of Newington and the late Joseph F. Cefaratti, Sr., he was employed as a highway foreman for the Town of Wethersfield for many years prior to owning and operating New Britain Nursery and Landscaping. Frank enjoyed outdoor work with his heavy machinery equipment and a good day by the pool or beach. He loved coaching little league and basketball, especially for his daughters' teams for a number of years.

He was a big fan of the movie Jaws and enjoyed family trips to Maine. He also loved to dance, sing along to music, and talk to everyone he came in contact with. Known as "Chief" to his friends, he will always be remembered for his willingness to lend a hand to anyone in need of help.

Along with his wife and mother, a loving and devoted father, he leaves his two daughters, Michele Prior and her husband David Prior of Berlin and Chelsey Cefaratti and her boyfriend Lorenzo Matos of Berlin. He also leaves his brother Joseph Cefaratti, Jr. and his wife Jennifer of Newington and his sister Lori Groves and her husband John of Charlotte, NC. He is also survived by his sister-in-law Patricia Brown and her husband Kenneth Brown of Newington and his beloved nieces and nephews.

His funeral service will begin on Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. at the Newington Memorial Funeral Home, 20 Bonair Ave., Newington followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of the Holy Spirit, Newington. Burial will be private. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Tuesday from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Newington Memorial.
