Berlin Obituary: Janice Brechlin, 91

Janice (Porell) Brechlin, 91, of Berlin, passed away on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at Ledgecrest Health Care. She was the wife of the late Herbert Brechlin.

Born in Haverhill, Ma. to the late Douglas and Blanche (Touchette) Porell. Janice was a teacher in the Berlin Elementary School System for many years. She was a docent at the New Britain Museum of Modern Art and a member of the Red Hat Society and the United Methodist Church in Newington.

Janice is survived by a daughter: and son-in-law Shirley and Richard Simons of Berlin and a son: and daughter in law William and Pamela Brechlin of Idaho a brother: and sister in-law, Richard and Betty Porell and a sister: and brother-in-law Madelyn and Anthony Ranno both of Florida a granddaughter: Carolyn Simons, a step-granddaughter: Deborah Dexter, and a step-great grandson: Daniel Weathers and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at Berlin Memorial Funeral Home, 96 Main Street, Kensington, at 11:0 0 a.m. Friends and family may call at the funeral home from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Burial at Maple Cemetery in Berlin will immediately follow the services.
