Berlin Obituary: John DiMaio, 41

John Sebastian DiMaio, 41, of Kensington, beloved father of Giovanni and Matteo DiMaio, passed away unexpectedly on December 22, 2017.

He was born October 23, 1976 in New Britain to the late Pasquale DiMaio and Carmela DiMaio of Kensington. He was the youngest of three children. He graduated and attended Berlin High School. He was a longtime resident of Berlin since 1989.

John was a hard worker and dedicated provider to his family. John will be remembered for his caring heart, incredible memory, great sense of humor, contagious laugh, and willingness to help others. He adored spending time with his two boys, family, and friends. His family was his pride and joy. He enjoyed cooking, working on cars, and doing home improvement projects.

He is survived by his mother, Carmela DiMaio, two brothers, Frank DiMaio and Elia DiMaio, sister-in-law, Jennifer DiMaio, nieces, Gabriella, Francesca, Isabella, and Delia DiMaio and nephews, Hayden and Luca DiMaio. He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, and cousins in Connecticut and Italy, along with Godparents and dear friends.

Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, January 5, 2018 at 10 AM at St Ann Church, 101 North St., New Britain. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
