Berlin Obituary - Jose Giner, Jr., 86

Jose Giner, Jr., 86, of Kensington, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at the Hospital of Central CT. He was the beloved husband of Amelia (Pont) Giner for 63 years.

Born in Spain, son of the late Jose Giner, Sr. and Carmen (Reig) Giner, he grew up in Spain and spent the last 39 years in Kensington. Jose was a member of St. Paul's Church.

Along with his wife, he leaves his three children, Jose Giner III of East Windsor, Amelia Valvo and her husband Joseph of Newington, and Michael Giner of Jacksonville, FL and Kensington, and his two grandchildren, Alexander and Victor. He was predeceased by his sister, Carmen.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 1st at 10:00 a.m. at St. Paul's Church, 485 Alling St., Berlin. Burial will be private. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, Jan. 31st from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Newington Memorial Funeral Home, 20 Bonair Ave., Newington.
