Joseph R. Grudzinski, 88, longtime resident of Kensington, died peacefully in the comfort of his home on Wednesday, August 23, 2017.
Born in New Britain to the late Joseph and Mary (Flis) Grudzinski, he attended Sacred Heart School and then graduated from NBHS Class of 1954. Joe was employed by the USPS as a letter carrier and was often seen around the South End of New Britain as this was his regular mail route.
He was an avid traveler, taking many trips to Europe and also visited Russia in 1987. He took his bicycle along on many of his trips to Europe and biked extensively throughout Connecticut. He was a great friend who will be missed.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 28 at 1:00 p.m. at the Burritt Hill Funeral Home, 332 Burritt St., New Britain. He will be laid to rest in Sacred Heart Cemetery, New Britain.
His friends would like to express appreciation to his dedicated caregivers at Euro-American Connections and Homecare, especially Wieslawa Partyka; the staff of Hartford HealthCare Hospice/THOCC and the Berlin VNA.
