
Lee Carroll Nielson, 78, of Berlin, passed away peacefully September 30, 2016 in her beloved farmhouse. She was the wife of Thomas Nielson whom passed away January 2014. They were married January 16, 1988 in Glastonbury.
Born June 8, 1938, in Manchester, NH, the daughter of the late James and Cecile (LeClerc) Carroll. Lee moved to Glastonbury as a young person, and graduated from Glastonbury High School in 1956. While at Glastonbury High, Lee was a majorette and class officer.
When Lee married her beloved Tom, she became an active member of the Cold Spring Brook Farm family, learning a great deal about growing flowers and vegetables. Her great loves were the Boston Red Sox, UConn Husky basketball, NASCAR, spending time with Tom, her beloved ‘Sweetie”, and her family.

She leaves her children: John (Roxanne) Molina of Rocky Hill, and their three children, Sandra Mason, CJ Mason and Rebecca Lee Molina; Dawn Molina of Rocky Hill; Heather (Gary) Molina-St. Jean of Putnam, and their two children, Melissa Tubbs and Ashley Anderson; along with 2 great grandchildren, Nora Anderson and Cole Tubbs. She leaves her stepchildren and their families. Lee also leaves her sister, Jane Miller of Groton, a sister-in-law, Meta Smith of Berlin, a very special member of the family, Desiree Brown, along with Carol Parris, and many cousins. She was predeceased by a dear friend, Nora French.
The family wishes to thank Home Instead home health care for the care they provided Lee over the past months, in particular Demaris, Kairy, and Sherri for their loving care and compassion.

There are no calling hours. A brief graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 4 at 1:00 pm in Rose Hill Memorial Park, 580 Elm St. Rocky Hill.
A celebration of Lee’s life for family and friends will be held at Cold Spring Brook Farm on Saturday, October 22 at 11:00am.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Lee’s memory may be made to the Fuel Bank of South Congregational Church 949 Main Street, South Glastonbury, CT 06073 c/o Rev. Dick Allen.
