
Louise N. Faipler, 77, of Berlin died Sunday, April 17, 2016 at Middlesex Hospital after a long illness.
Born in Rochester Mills, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of late Eugene "Pete" Neal and Ethel Neal of Rocky Hill. Louise originally moved to New Britain Connecticut in 1963 and then moved to Berlin in 1977. Louise worked as a Payroll Specialist at Church Homes in Hartford for 16 years and retired in 2012.
She is survived by her four children and includes son and daughter-in-law Frederick and Cara Faipler of Moodus; daughter and son-in-law Brenda and Mark Pearson of Old Lyme; son Terry Faipler of Colchester and son Thomas Faipler and partner Darlene of Southwick, MA. Louise also leaves behind six grandchildren, whom she adored. They are TJ Faipler, Jessie Faipler, Eugene "Jack" Faipler, Danielle Faipler, Nicholas Faipler and Adam Faipler. She is survived by her niece Deborah Springer of Plainville (her children Jennifer and Brad Carroll and Sarah Gray); nephew Donald Huey and fiancée Andrea of Terryville (their daughter Savannah) and niece Denise and Danny Wodecki of New Britain (their children Jordan, Jalen and Alexis). She was predeceased by her very dear friend and longtime companion, Albert Moseley of Berlin; brother Eugene "Popeye" Neal; beloved sister and brother-in-law Karen and Jack Sali; daughter-in-law Heidi Faipler and first husband Frederick Faipler Sr.

A devoted mother, grandmother and aunt, Louise centered her life around her family, especially her grandchildren. She leaves behind many cherished memories and will be greatly missed. Louise was an avid sports enthusiast. She enjoyed going to Fenway Park to watch her favorite baseball team, the Boston Red Sox. Louise was a long-time Pittsburgh Steeler fan and enjoyed watching the Super Bowl with her family. Louise loved gardening, Country/Western music, musicals/plays and going to the casinos for both concerts and a try at the slot machines.
Calling hours will be WEDNESDAY 5 to 7 PM at Carlson Funeral Home, 45 Franklin Square, New Britain. Funeral service is FRIDAY 10:30 AM at Carlson Funeral Home. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
