Berlin Obituary: Marion Negrelli, 86

Condolences to her family and friends.

It is with deepest sadness that we announce the passing of Marion June Negrelli, 86, of Newington. Marion passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family, on Saturday, June 10, 2017.

She was born March 28, 1931 in New Britain, to Nellie (Morrison) Bachman and Harold Bachman. She was happily married to Thomas P. Negrelli for over 50 loving years.

A longtime resident and active member of the Kensington community, Marion was a member of St. Paul Church, where she was a greeter, a member of the Ladies’ Guild, and volunteer at St. Paul School. She was also a member of the VFW, and a frequent attendee of the Berlin Senior Center bus trips.

Marion spent her last 13 years living with her daughter, Sue, and son-in-law, Ronnie, in Newington, where she was very socially active, and enjoyed playing cards with the girls, going to the movies and dinner with her daughter, and attending family gatherings at her cousin Cathy. She was very family-oriented, always putting others’ needs before her own.

Marion is survived by her daughter, Susan Beard, and her husband, Ronald, of Newington; her daughter-in-law, Carol Negrelli, of Bristol; her granddaughters, Allison Negrelli, of Bristol, and Kristen Negrelli, and her husband, Timothy Boto, of Manchester; and her beloved nieces, cousins, and friends. She is predeceased by her husband and best friend, Thomas P. Negrelli, of Kensington; her son, Steven T. Negrelli, of Bristol; her sister, Joyce Pons, of Bristol; and her granddaughter, Nicole Beard, of Vernon.

Friends and relatives may call at Berlin Memorial Funeral Home 96 Main Street, Kensington on Saturday, June 17th from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. to be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial 10 a.m. at Saint Paul Church in Kensington, entombment in the Garden Mausoleum in Saint Mary’s Cemetery, New Britain will follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Paul School, 461 Alling St., Kensington, CT 06037.
