
Peter Karoll, 84, of Kensington, husband of Barbara (Simons) Karoll, passed away on Thursday, September 22, 2016 at the Hospital of Central Connecticut – New Britain Campus with his family by his side. Peter fought a courageous battle with cancer for over 3 years.
Born in Berlin on July 11, 1932, a son of the late John and Mary Karoll, he spent many years on his family farm. Peter was employed as a Highway foreman for the Town of Berlin, retiring after 32 years. He devoted his time training beagles for field trials and was a past member of the Nutmeg Beagle Club in Meriden.
Besides Barbara, his wife of 59 years, Peter is survived by 2 sons: Jeffrey Karoll, and his wife, Laura and Randy Karoll, and his wife Sandra, 5 grandchildren: Kristen, Korey, Ross, Luke, and Logan, all of Kensington, a sister-in-law: Nancy Karoll, 3 brothers-in-laws: Robert Simons, Richard Simons and his wife Shirley of Berlin and Leroy and his wife Polly Simons of East Hartford and several nieces and nephews.
Peter was pre-deceased by a sister: Helen Nalewajek, 2 brothers: John and Edward Karoll.

A special thanks to Dr. Peter Byeff and his devoted staff, the nurses and staff of Floor N-5 and the Intensive Care team of the Hospital of Central CT- New Britain.
Family and friends may call at the Berlin Memorial Funeral Home, 96 Main St., Kensington on Monday, September 26, 2016 from 9:00 to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 11:00 AM. Interment will be private.
