Berlin Obituary: Peter Tordanato, 94

Peter C. Tordanato, 94, of Berlin passed away on Thursday, June 9, 2016.  He was the husband of the late Mary (Galati) Tordanato.

Born in Middletown on February 7, 1922, a son of the late Corrado and Corradina (Mirmina) Tordanato, Peter was a long-time resident of Berlin and a U.S. Air Force veteran, serving with the 493rd Fighter Squadron from 1941-43.  He was employed as a pattern maker at Emhart Corp. for 44 years and a parishioner of St. Paul Church.  He was a charter member of the VFW Post 10732, and a member of the Knights of Columbus, Council # 3675, Berlin Seniors, AARP and Timberlin Senior Men’s Golf League.

Peter is survived by 2 sons:  Neil (Janice) Tordanato and Gary Tordanato, 4 grandchildren:  Andrew and wife Kelsey, Andrea, Tyler, and Lauren Tordanato.  He was pre-deceased by 3 brothers:  Joseph, Manuel and Paul Tordanato.

Friends and family may call at the Berlin Memorial Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM. Everyone is invited to go directly to St. Paul Church, 467 Alling St., Kensington on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at 10:00 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial.  Interment will be private.
