Berlin Obituary: Victor Lugli, 85

Condolences to his family and friends.

Victor J. Lugli, 85, of Kensington, husband of Roberta (Loomis) Lugli, passed away on Monday, December 18, 2017.

Born in New Britain, March 18, 1932 a son of the late Quinto and Margaret (Dragone) Lugli, Victor retired from the New Britain Fire Department as Deputy Chief in 1985 after 33 years. He was a US Army veteran of the Korean Conflict serving in Japan. Victor enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, many outdoor activities and he was an avid reader. He was a member of the Austrian Club in New Britain.

Besides his wife, Victor is survived by a son: Thomas V. Lugli of Kensington, a daughter: Susan Meisterling and her husband Jason of Somers, 2 sisters: Rosanne Sliwa of Southingon and Carol Wallenski of New Britain, 2 grandchildren: Matthew Meisterling of Tolland and Margaret Meisterling of Somers and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by 2 brothers: John and Gerald Lugli.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 21, 2017 at 10:00 AM at the Berlin Memorial Funeral Home, 96 Main St., Kensington. Burial will be in Maple Cemetery in Berlin. Friends and family may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 from 3:00 PM- 5:00 PM

Donations may be made to St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital Memphis, TN.
