Berlin Parks and Rec Department Offering Winter Arts Programs

Registration is open for the kids art programs.

The Berlin Parks and Recreation Department is offering the following winter arts programs. There is a fee for residents and non-residents for each program.

Painting with Peggy – Children K- 5th grade will paint a masterpiece on a canvas with instruction led by Peggy Loehr, art teacher and painter. Class will be held at the Berlin Community Center on Saturday, Feb. 28 or March 7 from 10 to 11 a.m. Just drop off your child and pick them up at the designated time.

Performing Arts Inc., Berlin Community Center – Mondays, Feb. 2-March 23 for seven weeks, excluding Feb. 16. Grades K-2 4:15 to 5 p.m. Grades 3-6 5:05 to 5:55 p.m. Some of the topics and activities include: exciting theater games, improvisational exercises, acting terminology, concentration exercises, voice and speech, sense memory, subtext, stage skills and script work. For past and more experienced performers, classes will be challenging and offer new and exciting activities. Register on line or by phone. Registration accepted by Performing Arts Inc., only.
