BERLIN, CT — Young people from Berlin looking at a career in law enforcement might want to circle their calendars next week.

That's because the Berlin Police Department's Cadet Program is hosting an open house on Thursday, Feb. 23, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Berlin Community Center, 230 Kensington Road, Berlin.

The cadet program is a volunteer initiative for people aged 13-21 and it allows young people to learn about police work and experience some of the training police must go through.
