Berlin PD Conducting Active Shooter Training At Local School
The department is assuring residents there is no emergency at the Kensington school.
BERLIN, CT β The Berlin Police Department this week will be conducting training at a local Catholic school to prepare for something they wish to never have to do.
The BPD is conducting active shooter training at Saint Paul School in the Kensington section of town this week, according to the department.
Such training β and the utilization of schools as sites β are, unfortunately, a common part of law enforcement given the rise in recent decades of shootings at schools.

The BPD wants folks who might see a heavy police presence at Saint Paul to not worry.
"If you see officers in the building, please don't be alarmed. There is no emergency," wrote the department.
