Berlin PD Going 'Pink' For Breast Cancer Awareness

In October, the Berlin PD will be wearing pink patches on their uniforms, with orders already being taken for pink patches for the public.

The Berlin Police Department will be wearing pink BPD patches in October for breast cancer awareness and it is also taking orders for new BPD patches to be sold to the public to help a cancer charity.

BERLIN, CT — Local police are taking orders for special, Berlin Police Department patches that will be adorned in pink for breast cancer awareness.

This October, the BPD will be participating in the Pink Patch Project for Breast Cancer Awareness and officers will be wearing pink shoulder patches in support.

In addition, the BPD will have Pink Patches available for public sale.

Patches are $10 each and the proceeds will be donated to"After the Storm, Inc.," a Middlefield-based foundation whose mission is to assist cancer survivors to heal physically, emotionally and spiritually from the aftermath of their diagnosis and treatments and help restore balance to their lives.

All orders must be placed through BPD Officer Maegan Musanti at mmusanti@berlinpd.org (cash or Venmo, email Musanti for more information). Patches can be picked up at the police department or mailed.
