Berlin PD Helps Food Pantry with 'Stuff a Cruiser' Event

The Berlin Police Department held its 11th annual 'Stuff a Cruiser' event in front of the Stop and Shop in October.

The Berlin Police Department held its 11th annual β€œStuff a Cruiser” event on Saturday October 29, 2016 in front of the Stop and Shop store on Farmington Avenue. During the β€œStuff a Cruiser” event we collected nonperishable food items and monetary donations for the Town’s food pantry which helps 75 families monthly and approximately 250 families during the holiday season.

In celebration of our 10th anniversary we started an Elementary School food drive challenge to go along with β€œStuff a Cruiser.” The challenge was put out to all the Elementary Schools including Saint Paul’s and Mooreland Hill schools. Saint Paul’s school was the winner again this year. We’d like to thank all the participants from all schools and all who came out to donate during the β€œStuff a Cruiser” event. This event was a huge success and our best year to date with a pickup truck full of food and $1,500.00 in donations.
