Berlin PD's 'Community Day' To Offer The Gift Of Safety

It will take place on Sunday at Berlin High School, and guests will also be able to meet the department's police dogs.

BERLIN, CT β€” Local police are hosting a community event on Sunday that will allow folks to meet the men and women who serve them and learn a thing or two about safety.

The Berlin Police Department's Community Day program will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 25, at the Berlin High School parking lot, 139 Patterson Way, Berlin.

There, guests will learn about installing safe car seats, get their bicycles checked for safety and meet the BPD's beloved police dogs, "Penny" and "Casner."
