Berlin PD's Ranks Grow By 2

The Berlin Police Department recently swore in two new rookies to join the force, with both currently undergoing academy training.

BERLIN, CT — Staffing municipal police departments has become a bugaboo for many communities, but the Berlin Police Department this week has announced the growing of its staff.

The BPD Monday said it has sworn in new officers Josiah Albert and Alexandra Picard, both sworn in last week at Berlin Town Hall.

The duo is now attending the New Britain Police Academy's vigorous training program, the BPD said.

After that, they will undergo field training in the department before being assigned beats of their own.
