Berlin Planning a New Drinking Water Well
The town is looking into the project and has approved some funding to monitor water levels.

There's still plenty of water for Berlin residents, but a steady decline in yield over the past decade has forced town officials to dig a new well.
The Hartford Courant reported that Berlin's 1A well has declined about 40 percent over the past 10 years, and Town Engineer Arthur Simonian said a replacement well would be needed to ensure demands are met.
The Berlin Town Council approved $36,400 to hire a firm to drill monitor wells to check on town's two municipal wells, The Courant reported. From there, the town can determine the demands of a full well project.
