Berlin Police Detective Earns Big Promotion: BPD
The police officer has been with the Berlin Police Department since 2016.
BERLIN, CT — One of Berlin's finest has recently earned a much-deserved promotion, the Berlin Police Department announced recently.
Police officials announced the promotion of Det. Brett Kelly to the rank of sergeant, a promotion finalized last week during a ceremony at Berlin Town Hall.
According to the BPD, Kelly has been with the department since 2016.

In that relatively short time, Kelly has served in many roles.
Those include patrol office, detective, DARE officer, and field training officer.

Police said Kelly is also a member of the Midstate Accident Reconstruction Squad and he will be assigned as a patrol supervisor.
