Berlin Cancer Survivor Returns To Police Duties
The community has rallied around Officer Aimee Krzykowski's inspirational story.

BERLIN, CT - A Berlin police officer who was diagnosed with breast cancer returned back to duty recently. The community rallied around Aimee Krzykowski's recovery efforts, hosting fundraisers and showing support through the hashtag #KrzyStrong.
"After five loooong months of ups and downs, surgeries, tests, chemo, and radiation, today I pulled on my boots, donned the Kevlar and headed back out to patrolling Berlin!" Krzykowski wrote in a social media post. "It’s been a wild ride but I’m proud to say I won and being back to work is exactly where I belong! Thank you to everyone for your never ending support throughout this journey. I could not have done it without you all!!"
