Berlin Scarecrow Contest All This Month
The contest will be on Farmington Avenue throughout October.

BERLIN, CT - To welcome the fall season, the town is hosting a Scarecrow contest on Farmington Avenye from Oct. 14 to Oct. 30. Businesses, volunteer/civic organizations, families and individuals are encouraged to enter scarecrows into the contest.
Businesses and organizations can use the scarecrows as advertisements. The scarecrows can be anything from traditional to humorous to whimsical or a celebrity.
According to a town statement, registration will be accepted at the Berlin Parks and Recreation Department office, 230 Kensington Road in the Berlin Community Center) Monday to Wednesday, from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM; Thursdays, 8:30 AM – 7 PM, and Fridays, 8:30 AM – 1 PM.

Registration by mail should include the entry form and a check made out to the Town of Berlin, 230 Kensington Road, Berlin, CT 06037. You can also register through WebTrac, the online registration program at www.town.berlin.ct.us
Call the office, 860-828-7009 for more information. An entry fee of $20 will be used to cover the cost of events and awards.
