Berlin Town, School Holiday Closings Announced

BERLIN, CT — The upcoming Christmas and New Year's Day holiday season will affect operations at Berlin town and school facilities.

The Town of Berlin recently announced those impacts.

They are:

• Berlin Town Hall will close at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 21, and will be closed on Friday, Dec. 22, and Monday, Dec. 25, in observance of the Christmas holiday.

• Berlin's Christmas holiday refuse/recycling collection schedule: Trash Away will be closed on Monday, Dec. 25, and it will be running on a delayed schedule for the remainder of the week.

• Meanwhile, all Town of Berlin departments will be closed on Monday, Jan. 1, 2024, in observance of the New Year Holiday.

• As for the town's refuse/recycling collection schedule, Trash Away will be closed on Monday, Jan. 1, 2024. It will be running on a delayed schedule for the remainder of the week.

Berlin schools, meanwhile, will be closed for winter break from Friday, Dec. 22, to Monday, Jan. 1, 2024. There is an early dismissal on Thursday, Dec. 21.

Regular school hours and town operations resume on Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2024.
