Berlin Town, Schools Columbus Day Impacts Announced

While the town is calling the holiday 'Columbus Day,' the school calendar calls it 'Fall Break.'

BERLIN, CT — Local officials recently announced the upcoming impacts of the Columbus Day Holiday, which is Monday, Oct. 9.

According to officials, all town departments and Berlin Town Hall will be closed on that day.

Despite the closures, however, Berlin's normal trash/recycling scheduled will apply.

Berlin schools, meanwhile, are closed that day for "Fall Break," with the school calendar not naming the holiday "Columbus Day."
