BERLIN, CT — The deadline to register for the town's largest Halloween celebration for children is a week away, but organizers say families should act fast.
The deadline to register for the Berlin Parks and Recreation Department's annual "Trunk-or-Treat" event on Saturday, Oct. 28, is Thursday, Oct. 26, according to recreation officials.
It will take place at the Berlin Community Center parking lot, 230 Kensington Road, from 6 to 7 p.m. that evening.

The celebration is for Berlin youths and their families only and it is for preschoolers up to fifth-grade, according to the town.
There is a $5 fee per child to attend and the fee is collected upon registration. No money will be collected that night, according to the rec department.
