BERLIN, CT — With the Berlin Fair wrapped up last month and no public arts or dining events posted in town for Thursday, Oct. 8, through Sunday, Oct. 11, this Columbus Day weekend is a good one for getting outdoors on Berlin's best-known ridge.

This Weekend's Arts & Entertainment

  • Ragged Mountain — Any day this weekend. The Metacomet Trail, maintained by the Connecticut Forest and Park Association, runs across the mountain, whose open summits and high cliff faces give wide views of the surrounding landscape, including South Wassel Reservoir.
