Bridge Project To Prompt Closure Of Busy Berlin Street
The town is replacing the bridge over the Mattabesset River.

BERLIN, CT — The Berlin Public Works Department will begin work to replace the Glen Street Bridge over the Mattabesset River, with construction scheduled to start on April 1.
Town officials said Monday that preliminary work will begin in the coming weeks, including tree removal, utility mark-outs, and surveying by the contractor, Dayton.
To speed up construction, Glen Street will be closed to both vehicles and pedestrians near the bridge during the project.
