Cadillac-Driving Bank Robbery Suspect Identified In Berlin: BPD: UPDATE

The incident happened on New Year's Eve, with police identifying the suspect as a 54-year-old North Haven man.

BERLIN, CT — Local police are investigating a New Year's Eve bank robbery in which a now-identified suspect was traced to a building in North Haven, along with his getaway Cadillac.

According to the Berlin Police Department, the incident happened at 10:03 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2025, at the Webster Bank branch at 40 Webster Square Road, Berlin.

Friday afternoon, Berlin police identified the robbery suspect as being Thomas Marra, 54, of 441 Washington Ave., Apt. 508, North Haven.

He is described as a white male standing 6-feet-2-inches tall and weighing 250 pounds, according to a wanted alert issued by the BPD.

Police said he is bald with brown eyes and a medium complexion, with scars on his left hand and right fingers.

The BPD said he is wanted for second-degree robbery and sixth-degree larceny.

Police said the suspect entered the bank and handed the teller a note demanding money, threatening the use of a firearm.

The BPD did not indicate how much money was taken.

The BPD said the suspect was seen leaving the area driving a 2020 gray-colored Cadillac CT6 with CT marker plate L01333L.

"The Berlin Police Investigations Division is actively working with the assistance of local, state, and federal law enforcement partners to investigate the robbery," wrote the BPD.

Police said two search-and-seizure warrants have been executed on a residence located in North Haven, with the suspect vehicle also located in North Haven.
