- Emily Thibeault, of Berlin, a communication major, has made the President's List at Coastal Carolina University for the fall 2017 semester. To qualify for the President's List for high academic achievement, students must earn a 4.0 grade point average and must be enrolled full time.

- Samantha Graves of Berlin was recently named to Emmanuel College's Dean's List for the fall 2017 semester. To earn a spot on the Dean's List, Emmanuel students must achieve a grade point average of 3.5 or higher for a 16-credit semester.
Roger Williams University, Bristol RI
- Six students from Berlin have been named to the fall 2017 Dean's List at Roger Williams University in Bristol, R.I. Full-time students who complete 12 or more credits per semester and earn a GPA of 3.4 or higher are placed on the Dean's List that semester. Local honorees are Emily Dittmar, Nathaniel Revenaugh, Ashley Rutledge, Jacqueline Saraceno, Katelin Stewart and Matthew Vernacatola.
