Campus Notes - Berlin College Students

BERLIN, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire.

Becker College, Worcester MA

• Robert Veneziano, of Berlin, has been inducted into the Chi Alpha Sigma honor society at Becker College. Veneziano is pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice, Homeland Security Concentration. Chi Alpha Sigma, the National College Athlete Honor Society, recognizes junior and senior student-athletes who maintained a 3.4-4.0 GPA and earned a letter in their sport.
• Rebecca Carriere, of Berlin, was inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau International nursing honor society at Becker College. Students enrolled in the Becker College baccalaureate nursing program in their junior or senior year are recognized for: completing at least 1/2 of the nursing curriculum, ranking in the upper 35 percent of their graduating class, and having achieved at least a 3.0 grade point average.

Southern Connecticut State University, New Haven CT

• Sophomore Brendan Ebert of Berlin, a member of the Southern Connecticut State University baseball team, was selected to the NE10 weekly honor roll for his performance in last week's action for the Owls. Ebert posted a 1.50 era as he pitched 6 innings and tallied five strikeouts in his win over Saint Rose.
