BERLIN, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire.

Lasell College, Newton MA

• Lasell College has announced that five students from Berlin have been named to the spring 2018 Dean's List. They are Allison Brown, Alexis Cabral, Evan Michalek, Briana Muller and Lauren Trzasko. Students with this accomplishment are full-time degree candidates who completed 12 or more credits in the spring semester, with a grade point average of 3.5 or higher. This semester's Dean's List encompasses a total of 707 students from all class years, including 126 members of the school's first-year class.

Western New England University, Springfield MA

• Michelle Corriveau of Berlin was welcomed into Mortar Board National Honor Society on April 10, 2018, at the Western New England University chapter's annual induction ceremony. Mortar Board is the senior honor society at Western New England University. The society is open to those students who have demonstrated both academic excellence and leadership on campus and in the community. Students in the top 35 percent of the junior class are considered eligible for the society with the membership being selected by the existing members of the previous year.
