BERLIN, CT — Here are some recent notable achievements for college students from Berlin, as reported by readMedia Newswire.
Ithaca College, Ithaca NY
- Berlin native Victoria Jackson, an Culture and Communication major at Ithaca College, was one of five students selected to attend the African American Student Leadership Experience in Washington, D.C. The AASLE was a four-day intensive experience where students were challenged to put theory into practice, thus having a leadership experience in real time. Representing Ithaca College, they were among a delegation of over 200 students comprised of more than 25 institutions from across the country.
Loyola University Maryland, Baltimore MD

- Loyola University Maryland has announced the members of its fall 2016 Dean's List. In order to qualify for the Dean's List at Loyola, a student must achieve a minimum QPA of at least 3.500 for the term, provided that, in the term they have successfully completed courses totaling a minimum of 15 credits. Honorees from Berlin are Kyra Daigle and Daniel Stafstrom.
Rochester Institute of Technology, Rochester NY
- Four local residents made the Dean's List at Rochester Institute of Technology for fall semester 2016-2017. They are Cassidy Goodwin of Kensington, who is studying in the environmental sustainability, health and safety program; Tobias Hull of Berlin, who is studying in the chemical engineering program; Shannon Mahoney of Berlin, who is studying in the industrial design program; and Maria Pisani of Berlin, who is studying in the applied arts and sciences program. Degree-seeking undergraduate students are eligible for Dean's List if their term GPA is greater than or equal to 3.400; they do not have any grades of "Incomplete", "D" or "F"; and they have registered for, and completed, at least 12 credit hours.
