- Eastern Connecticut State University recently released the names of full-time students from Berlin who were named to the Dean's List for the spring 2017 semester: Alicia Maule, Kaileen Langlois, Nicole Carey, Caroline Scarrozzo, Cole Johnson, Bianca Jacques, Michael Zisk, Jacob McCarthy, Krista Fasciano and Nicholas Germano.

- Goodwin College's President's List for the spring 2017 session includes 316 students, all of whom scored a perfect 4.0 GPA. Local honorees are James Chiodo of Berlin, Rachel Prior of Berlin, Alyssa Reindel of East Berlin and Joshua Demorest of Kensington.
- Goodwin College announces that 964 students achieved Dean's List status for the spring 2017 session.

Tunxis Community College, Farmington CT
- The Alpha Iota Alpha Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa at Tunxis Community College in Farmington announced the names of those students who accepted membership in the honor society. They were formally recognized in May at an induction ceremony. Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) is recognized by the American Association of Community and Junior Colleges as the official honor fraternity of two-year colleges. To achieve eligibility for PTK, a student must complete at least 12 hours of associate’s degree course work and earn a grade point average (GPA) of 3.5 or higher. Throughout their enrollment, they must maintain high academic standing, generally a 3.25 GPA. About 100,000 students are inducted into Phi Theta Kappa each year. Honorees from Berlin are Elena Bolotova, Engineering; Nicole Chambrello, General Studies; and Jamie Wilkinson, Visual Fine Arts.

- Dominika Wejda of Berlin graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Professional Nursing during commencement ceremonies on May 21, 2017, at the University of Vermont. The university conferred degrees this year on an estimated 3,228 graduates, including 2,620 bachelor's, 386 master's, 106 doctoral and 116 medical degree recipients. Among degree recipients are students from 40 states and 97 international students from 21 foreign countries.
