I 'am excited for this new look to become part of the greater conversation. Our students, faculty, and community partners can all share in this next step for Central.β
Centralβs official university seal will remain as its legacy logo. The new marketing logo includes an icon rendering of the university clock tower at Davidson Hall in a nod to the legacy logo.
βThis new logo exemplifies the forward-thinking spirit of Central,β said Dr. John Day Tully, interim associate vice president for academic affairs in a statement. βWe are at the cutting-edge of preparing undergraduate and graduate students to meet the challenges of today and tomorrow. This design should remind everyone of how Central is adapting to our studentsβ and the stateβs needs.β
Meanwhile, the athletics departmentβs Blue Devil logo is well known among Central sports fans.
Because the popular image is exclusive to athletics, the marketing and communications team created a counterpart logo that can be used campuswide.
To accompany the new logos, the university has published official brand guidelines to unify the overall look and feel of university publications and materials.
To celebrate the launch, the marketing and communications team created a TikTok video viewable here. (Direct link: https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZPRWnLhpd/)
