An acclaimed chef has launched a to-go restaurant in Berlin.

BERLIN, CT — A Hartford-area chef and restaurateur has launched a take-out only restaurant in Berlin, according to The Hartford Business Journal. Vito's Pizza at 1863 Berlin Turnpike was started by Rob Maffucci and had its official debut Tuesday.

The eatery offers pizza, fresh pasta and other Italian classics. Maffucci made the decision to go take-out only in response to consistent pandemic-related issues in the industry, The Hartford Business Journal reported.

Maffucci is "a nationally recognized award winning chef known for cutting edge presentation of Italian cuisine with appearances on food network an restaurant business magazine," according to the restaurant's website.
