UPDATE: Child Reportedly Ran Into Car That Swerved To Avoid Him
The child was supposed to board a bus, but instead darted into traffic, according to a report.

A 12-year-old Berlin boy received hospital treatment for a leg injury he suffered Wednesday morning after he reportedly ran into a car that Berlin Police said swerved to avoid hitting him.
A Berlin schools van arrived to pick up the boy but he ran from his Spruce Brook Road home and into traffic instead of boarding the bus, police said, according to NBC Connecticut.

The driver of an oncoming car swerved and crossed the center lane, however, the boy ran into the back of it, suffering the lower leg injury, police said.
