College Football Star Joins Berlin Police Department
The BPD's newest officer was sworn in this week and is about to undergo academy training before field training in Berlin.

BERLIN, CT — A former college football player in Connecticut will join the Berlin Police Department after he was sworn in this week.
According to the BPD, the newest member of Berlin's Finest is Brandon Scott, who hails from the Boston area.
Scott came to Connecticut to play football on scholarship at Central Connecticut State University in New Britain.

The BPD said he graduated in 2022 with a bachelor's degree in general studies and behavior science.
Scott will be attending the New Britain Police Academy in New Britain and, upon graduation, will have departmental field training in Berlin before officially going on the beat.
