Controversial Adult Nightclub in Berlin Closes
A town official said a note on the door indicates the club has gone out of business.

BERLIN, CT β A controversial adult nightclub on the Berlin Turnpike has apparently shut its doors, according to the Berlin Citizen, which stated a town official told them a note on the door of the club indicates it is closed.
Centerfold's, located next door to a family mini-golf, batting cage and go-kart center at 1861 Berlin Turnpike, made news in late 2016 when undercover police officers observed a number of violations, including "exposed prohibited anatomical areas," "physical contact with patrons" and "simulated sexual intercourse."
The town of Berlin sought to have the club's adult entertainment license suspended for up to three weeks; however, following an appeal by the establishment's owners, official records from the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection show only a three-day suspension, served from Feb. 27 through March 1, 2017, as well as a fine of $8,250.
