Educational Playcare Officially Opens in Berlin

Educational Playcare celebrated the opening of their eighth location in Connecticut, with a ribbon cutting ceremony at its new facility in Berlin last week.

“We are so happy that Educational Playcare has joined the Berlin community. Their integration of learning, health, and wellness makes them a leader in innovative childcare,” Berlin Mayor Rachel Rochette said.

Also attending the ceremony were the owners of Educational Playcare - Jane Porterfield and Gerry Pastor, Berlin Town Manager Denise McNair and Berlin Town Planner Chris Edge.

Educational Playcare was established in 1986 to provide full- and part-time childcare and educational programs for children from 6 weeks to 12-years-old. Despite their relatively small size, they offer all of the benefits of the large “corporate” daycares and more, including an award-winning curriculum, cutting edge communication tools, state-of-the-art sanitizing technology, advanced secure facilities, professional teachers, and nutritious lunches and snacks. They also provide arts and enrichment programs that include music, fitness and yoga lessons.
