Emergency Crews Respond To Berlin Canoe Capsizing

Two people were in the canoe when it capsized.

BERLIN, CT — Emergency crews responded to Silver Lake in Berlin when a canoe capsized early Wednesday morning, NBC Connecticut reported. Two people were in the canoe and both were wearing life vests.

One person was able to return to shore but the other needed help and was able to swim to a police officer. Firefighters towed the canoe to the boat launch, according to NBC.
