UConn Health Department of Medicine Clinical Research Unit. The Department of Medicine at UConn Health has a long history of conducting and supporting clinical research in diverse subspecialties. Our mission is to provide expanded opportunities for clinical research to our faculty and improve the quality and efficacy of treatments available to our patients. The clinical research unit actively manages diverse trials, focusing on areas such as chronic disease management, respiratory health, and metabolic disorders. With a dedicated team of research nurses and study coordinators, the department provides comprehensive support for both inpatient and outpatient clinical studies, ensuring high standards of safety and efficacy.
