The Muslim Coalition of Connecticut is sponsoring its third annual interfaith gathering called In the Footsteps of Abraham focusing on the theme of the common patriarch of Jews, Christians and Muslims--the prophet Abraham.
The coalition will also share its practice of pilgrimage to the city of Mecca, where this year nearly 3 million pilgrims fulfilled this pillar of Islam. The pilgrimage, known as Hajj, just took place and concluded with the celebration of Eid al-Adha on Sunday, November 6th.
Event speakers will be Rabbi Jeffrey Bennett, Minister Richard Allen, Chaplain David Coolidge and Chaplain Marwa Aly.
