Berlin High Grad Night Fundraiser Will Be Totally Awesome

BERLIN, CT — If the Generation X parents of current Berlin High School students were trying to avoid feeling old, an upcoming fundraiser for the post-graduation party later this month will not help.

Tickets are currently on sale for the "Mr. BHS" talent show and, this year, the theme will be "80's Night."

That means for a lot of participants (there are 13 competing in all), the night will feature a lot of laughs, cringes, a few spiked hairstyles (or two), some moonwalks and lots of 1980s songs.

The event will be Sunday, March 26, at 6 p.m. inside the BHS auditorium, 139 Patterson Way, Berlin.

Student tickets are $5 and adult tickets are $8 in advance and $10 at the door, which isn't a bad deal, even in the 1980s.

Proceeds for this acid-washed good time will benefit the Class of 2023's all-night post-graduation party, which aims to safely allow for graduates to enjoy a good time on a night of revelry that brings with it significant safety worries.

So much fun is expected, the Berlin community cannot "just say no" to it.
