Firefighters Quickly Knock Down Berlin House Fire

A fire began on the second floor of a Farmington Avenue building Tuesday evening.

BERLIN, CT — Multiple fire companies from Berlin succeeded in quickly knocking down a structure fire on Farmington Avenue Tuesday evening.

Companies were dispatched to 937 Farmington Avenue at 7:13 p.m., with the first arriving units reporting flames showing from the rear of the building on the second floor.

No one was present in the building at the time, and no firefighter injuries were reported.

In a statement, the American Red Cross said it was assisting two families, a total of four adult and three children.
