Fundraiser For Berlin Police Officer Coming Up

The event will support a local police officer's fight against cancer.

BERLIN, CT - A pasta dinner fundraiser will be held to support Aimee Krzykowski's fight against cancer. The event will be Thursday, Nov. 29, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Bethany Covenant Church at 785 Mill St.

According to a statement from Chris Ciuci, deputy chief of police, Krzykowski was diagnosed with breast cancer six years ago. After treatment and surgery, she was able to return to work.

However, this past summer she learned the cancer had returned. She will begin chemotherapy treatments at the end of the month.

Tickets are $10. There will be a silent auction and raffle. Donations will also be accepted. For tickets and more information, call Lieutenant Drew Gallipe at 860-828-7085.
