While a popular playground is closed until further notice in Berlin, well-used tennis and basketball courts have, recently, reopened.

Berlin officials said last week that the tennis courts and basketball courts at Berlin High School, 13 Patterson Way, Berlin, are now open after being closed for much of the summer.

Both features were receiving much-needed facelifts and they're now ready for play.

Meanwhile, local officials said Wednesday that the "Little People's Playground" in Berlin, 218 Kensington Road, Berlin, is closed "until further notice."

The news isn't all bad, however, as officials said this popular play area for parents and their young children is, simply, getting necessary renovations.
